Request device replacement
Here you can swap a device within your existing Garmin/ProteGear account. The old device will be deactivated and the new device will be added to your existing Garmin/ProteGear account and data plan. There is no charge for this service, and this is possibly only once per year.
Please note that when switching from classic InReach devices to a new PLUS device (e.g. MessengerPlus, InReach Mini3 Plus, GPSMAP H1iPlus), a new account type is required with Garmin, which will delete existing Garmin EXPLORE data. Please back up or export this data beforehand. Garmin CONNECT data will remain unaffected!
The exchange process only takes place on weekdays (Mon-Fri) and usually takes 24-48 hours. We will inform you once it is complete.
